Spring Decor: Farmhouse Family Room

Happy Monday, buddies!
Wanted to give you a quick little tour around our living/family room with all the springtime yummies strewn about!
Sources will be linked below!

For this year’s spring looks, I was inspired by the soft pinky peach of the ranunculus flowers I love (and would for sure kill if I didn’t use faux 😩).  I don’t use tons of bright colors for my base decor (rugs, furniture, etc), but it sure is fun to sprinkle it all around with low commitment items like throw pillows and faux florals.  😉  Spruced up the couch with some peachy pink pillows and filled up the vintage dough bowl with springtime blooms!
(🌸🌿Curious about my favorite faux florals and greens?  Check out this round up [HERE]! 🌿🌸 )

If we are buddies over on Instagram [CLICK HERE], you’ll recognize those vintage bottle chandeliers I made using herb drying racks and

Web Pages That Suck – learn good web design by looking at bad web design

I’ve taken a long sabbatical from the site because of an overdose of dealing with websites and people suffering from Dunning-Kruger Syndrome. Seriously, 20 years of looking at badly designed websites takes its toll, but like John Wick, I’m back. Bad websites: Prepare to get shot in the face a la John Wick. Click picture for my feelings on the matter.

Like John Wick, I'm back.

Where to study interior design in SA

    by  on  in Interior

We’ve been receiving numerous emails from readers who want to be interior designers, decorators and architects but just don’t know where to start. So we’ve decided to help them out by compiling a list of institutions that are renowned for their design courses. But before we get to that, lets discuss the difference between the three professions.

While many people use the terms “interior designer” and “interior decorator” interchangeably, there are key differences between the two. For instance, an interior decorator works with architects to design the entire interior of the space. They work in collaboration with the architects to decide on how the space should be divided, where the walls should be built and what kinds of flooring and ceiling material will work best.

When it comes to interior decorators, the general rule of thumb is that a home owner, developer or residential/commercial architect hires an interior decorator to
